Tomball Roof Repair
How it works

Find the source first. Everything else follows from that.

Tomball Roof Repair works on roofs across Tomball and northwest Houston — leaks, storm damage, failed flashing, ventilation and full replacements. Estimates are free and there is no obligation.

Tell us what you can see

A ring on the hall ceiling, grit in the gutters, shingles in the yard after a storm. Describe the symptom. Working out the cause is our job, not yours.

We get on the roof and trace it

Roof plane, valleys, every penetration, then the attic side with a light. Water runs along decking before it drops, so the entry point is almost never above the stain.

You get the finding and the price

What failed, what it takes to put right, what can safely wait until next year. Written down, in words that need no decoding, before anyone quotes you anything.

We do the work we quoted

Scoped to what we found rather than to what we could sell. Under Tomball's 2021 residential code, past 25 percent of the covering the choice stops being ours anyway.

The estimate

What we actually look at.

Most roof problems are not where they appear. Water gets through the covering at one point, hits the decking, then runs along the slope or sideways down a rafter before it finally drops. The stain on your ceiling marks where it ran out of somewhere to go, not where it came in. That is why the attic matters as much as the roof.

It is also why we will not price a roof over the phone. Anyone who does is quoting a roof they have never seen.

We checkBecause
Valleys and flashingMost leaks start at a joint, not out in the open field
Vent boots and penetrationsThey split and lift long before the shingles wear out
The field of the roofGranule loss and bruising decide repair versus replace
Ridge and edgesWhere wind gets underneath and lifts a course
The attic sideStaining on the decking shows the real water path
Insulation and deckingSoft decking changes the scope of the job entirely
Intake and exhaust airflowTrapped heat ages a roof from underneath, unseen
Scope and price

You get the number before anything starts.

The estimate says what failed, what it takes to fix, and what can reasonably wait. In writing, in language that does not need decoding. If a targeted repair solves it, that is what we quote — a leaking vent boot on a sound roof is a repair, and it should not turn into a replacement conversation without a reason we can show you.

Where replacement genuinely is the answer, we will tell you what we found in the field of the roof that makes it so. No prices before we have been on the roof, and no pressure once we have.

Questions

Fair questions before you call.

How long does an estimate take?

Usually under an hour on a typical single-family roof, longer if the roof is complicated or the leak is not showing itself on the day. We would rather spend the extra twenty minutes in the attic than guess at the source and be wrong.

Will you tell me the roof is fine if it is fine?

Yes, and it happens more than you would expect. Plenty of calls turn out to be a single failed vent boot on a roof with years left in it. We would rather do the small job well than talk you into a big one you did not need.

Do I need to be home?

For the roof itself, no. For the attic and the interior side of a leak, yes — and that half often matters more, because water tracks along framing before it drops and the inside tells you where it has been going.

What if I already have a quote from someone else?

Get ours too. Second quotes on roofing are normal and no honest roofer is offended by one. If the other quote is right, we will say so.

What happens if the work is not right?

Tell us and we put it right. Texas does not license roofing contractors, so there is no state roofing board to appeal to — which is exactly why insurance and a company that answers the phone afterwards matter more here than in trades that are licensed. If it ever came to it, consumer complaints in Texas go to the Office of the Attorney General's consumer protection division.
